கல்லறை இல்லா உலகம் காண்போம்.

நித்தம் நித்தம் மரணங்கள்
நெஞ்சில் பாயும் ரணங்கள்
பூமியெங்கும் சிந்தும் ரத்தம்
வானம் வரை கேட்குது நித்தம்.

இழந்தோம் இழந்தோம் எல்லாம் இழந்தோம்
உறவை இழந்தோம் உடைமை இழந்தோம்
உரிமை இழந்தோம் உணர்வை இழந்தோம்
வீட்டை இழந்தோம் நாட்டை இழந்தோம்.

சொந்தம் இழந்தோம் அங்கம் இழந்தோம்
நீங்காத் துயரம் வாழ்வின் உச்சம்
உடலில் உயிரோ நிக்கிது மிச்சம்
அதையும் பறிக்கிது அரசின் பட்சம்.

கொடிது கொடிது வேதனை கொடிது
வாழ்க்கை கொடிது வாழ்வது கொடிது
பறிக்கும் உயிர்கள் துடிக்குது துயரில்

துன்பம் இல்லா துயரம் இல்லா
மரணம் இல்லா வாழ்வு வருமா?
வருவது உறுதி மனமே உணர்ந்திடு.

உயிர்கள் என்றும் மரணத்தின் பிடியில்
